ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This two-day event is specifically for Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) Tribal Affairs Division grantees. The Implementation Workshop is designed to strengthen grantees’ ability to successfully implement and manage their grant projects and provide 1:1 training and support. The workshop will also provide an environment for Tribal leaders to connect with OVW staff and Tribal Coalitions. Sessions include: 

  • In-person discussion with OVW grants management, evaluation, and financial staff
  • In-person discussion with OVW TA providers
  • Peer sharing/learning
  • Project development, management, and planning
  • Best-Practices in addressing violence against women

Please note that OVW Tribal Governments Program, OVW Tribal Coalitions Program, OVW Tribal Sexual Assault Services Program, OVW Tribal Jurisdictions Program, and OVW Tribal SAUSA Program funds can be used to support travel costs for participation in the event.

ASSESSMENT FORM

Prior to day two of the workshop, all grantees will be required to complete the STAR assessment tool. Please work with your program team members to complete this PDF prior to attending. All grantees should bring the completed form with them to day two of the workshop, either electronically or in printed copy.

The hotel is approximately 8 minutes away from the airport. Hotel provides a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. Guests will receive an Airport Shuttle Pass at check-in for the return trip to the airport. 

  • To Airport: Shuttle leaves the hotel every 30 minutes; first departure at 4:30am; last departure at 12:00am (midnight)
  • From Airport: Shuttle leaves airport every 30 minutes; first departure at 4:45am; last departure at 12:15am
